Α 65 year-old woman presented with intermittent fever and persistent back ache. MRI of the spine showed (a) reduction of the signal of the T11 and T12 vertebrae (T1-weighted image) (fig. 1), (b) increased and uneven signal in T2-weighted image (fig. 2) and (c) narrowing of the intervertebral space.
