TR. PAPADOPOULOS, J. FANDRIDIS, G. CHLOROKOSTAS, H. KARKAZIS,
A. DUKUDAKIS
SUMMARY The osseointegrated dental implants changed radically the prosthetic options that the dentist has in his possession today for the rehabilitation of the partial and total edentulism. The aim of this article is to describe and analyze all these prosthetic solutions by using the classifications that have been proposed by the different authors. These classifications that are made on the basis of certain clinical parameters (e.g. the way of support, the number of implants etc) help the dentist to understand the existing options for each case in order to make the best selection and also to better communicate with his technician and his patient.
KEY WORDS: Dental implants, Prosthetic rehabilitation.
