The Athens Medical Society The Athens Medical Society (AMS), established in 1835, is the oldest among the Greek medical societies, whose the function co-ordinates. Since 1974, the AMS organizes the Annual Panhellenic Medical Congress, that represents the main scientific event of the Greek Medicine, and publishes the bimonthly medical journal Archives of Hellenic Medicine.
